Welcome to The Ivory Garage! The site is back after a long absence and I hope to keep it up now that my dissertation is finished. The site largely concerns my own interests in anthropology and motorcycles, but I am very interested in finding links to other people's motorcycle related obsessions. I am especially interested in research, whether it's the technical or social aspects of motorcycles and the people who ride them. Gender, identity construction, sport, political economy, neoliberalism, and globalization provide some of the theoretical underpinnings of my research. I'm interested in the intersections between people, their contexts, and their identities.
